The HR Manager will report directly to the Country Manager, and will be responsible for all HR-related activities in the company. The role holder will work closely with the operations director and functional managers to ensure that the company has the right people in the right places; in addition to ensuring that the company is able to develop talent from within.
Key Responsibilities
The main tasks will include, but not limited to:
Ensure that recruitment needs are managed and met; and that the recruitment process is standardised and well executedManage, improve and implement HR processes and policiesOversee the implementation of employee management - including performance management; grievances; and talent developmentReview and update job descriptions, remuneration scales, and benefits packagesEnsure that contracts, policies and processes are executed in accordance to the Tanzanian labour lawLearning and development: providing guidance on development for managers and their teams, and oversee the implementation of targeted training programmesMeasuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvementBe responsible for the HR Budget
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in HR or related fieldMinimum 4 years' relevant work experienceStrong, demonstrable team and leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationFluent in both English and SwahiliProven budget management experience
General Information
The role will be based at our HQ in Mwanza, with occasional travel to our regional hub sites; and will start asap.
Remuneration will be dependent upon experience.
